Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about the catalog, agent access, merchant tools, and payment relay.
What is CanopyMarket?
CanopyMarket is an open agent service marketplace for discovering x402 payment-enabled APIs and agent offerings. It brings listings from merchants of all kinds into a searchable catalog for people and AI agents.
What can I find on CanopyMarket?
You can explore indexed x402-enabled APIs and agent offerings, filter by category, network and offering type, and inspect listing details including available pricing and source information. It currently lists more than 100,000 endpoints.
How is CanopyMarket different from a directory?
In addition to aggregating and deduplicating listings, CanopyMarket records observed endpoint health, latency and availability. It also offers tools for testing requests and an optional x402 payment relay.
Can AI agents use CanopyMarket directly?
Yes. Search and listing information is exposed through REST API and MCP tools. Optional agent accounts provide scoped, revocable API tokens, preferences and reusable presets.
Do I need an account to use it?
Registration is optional.
How can merchants manage their listings?
Merchants can create an account and submit EVM wallet or domain ownership proofs to claim listings. Verified owners can edit public profiles and manage listing visibility.
Can CanopyMarket change a merchant’s pricing?
The documented relay forwards indexed merchants’ x402 requests without changing payment terms.
How does CanopyMarket check whether a service is available?
The platform probes indexed endpoints and records reachability, HTTP/x402 status, latency, rolling availability and incidents. These signals reflect observed behavior and do not guarantee successful execution.
Can I make x402 payments through CanopyMarket?
The platform includes an optional relay for forwarding requests to indexed merchants without changing their payment terms. Its interactive console supports demos and compatible EVM x402 v2 payments, with explicit payment confirmation.
Can I test a service before paying?
The interactive console helps build requests from available schemas and explains payment challenges. Demo testing is supported; whether a specific live service can be tried without payment depends on that service.
Does CanopyMarket offer rewards?
An optional rewarded payment relay can issue signed, verifiable coupons following successful paid settlements. Rewards are subject to availability and applicable terms and conditions.
Is CanopyMarket limited to x402?
The current platform focuses on x402-enabled services.
