Use when an agent has a city, landmark or postal address and needs lat/lon for maps, weather, distance or logistics: returns the best match with latitude, longitude, display name, country/countryCode, optional admin hierarchy, street/house number, OSM ids and bounding box. Public OpenStreetMap-derived data via Photon (Komoot), with Nominatim fallback. Not found = 404, not charged. Attribute OpenStreetMap when redistributing.
